My Care Network is passionate about sharing health information that is readily and freely accessed by our multicultural communities.

We are aware that it is important to recognise a person’s cultural or religious background in the context of health.

Such factors can impact or impede an individual’s access to health information – especially if they are new to Australia.

Members of culturally diverse communities may have limited access to free health information if English is not their first language.

A person’s cultural or religious background can impact their perceptions of health, beliefs about disease, lifestyle choices, attitudes to prevention, preferred treatments and therapies, the involvement of families and practices about childbirth.

My Care Network wants to break down information barriers to health and wellbeing and support health equality among all Australians.
